I Had Started Questioning My Worth And What Value I Added To This World.

Growing up, I was terrible with numbers in general and so math never came easily to me. This really made me feel insecure especially since my brother is a math genius and well, I’m Indian so people around me were generally amazing at it. I had started questioning my worth and what value I added to this world.

I soon discovered it with my art. I realized this was probably why I was put on this earth, to show up at my studio and make art every single day for the rest of my life. I felt like I finally had a purpose and that this life meant something to me. I no longer listened to sad music rolling around in my bed feeling useless. I took that energy and channeled it into my paintings instead.

This particular piece was inspired by my (the artist, Ambika Thiagarajan)

I realized that with this continuous confusion, there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

I realized that with this continuous confusion, there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Which is how I set about to make this piece to discover that beauty in the chaos, to establish my peace with it.

I think it’s important for every single person to remember that they bring something unique to this planet however small it maybe. You are enough.
